2022
After all the problems that were experienced in 2020 and 2021, we are ready to roll out a new year and with some great possibilities. We hope there is an end to Covid, that no one gets put in prison, and we all get to travel at will without having to take tests or fill out form after form. We hope Lisa can get out of Chicago and Grandma and Grandpa can see all their grandkids more often. We hope that Karren can deal with all of her Relief Society ladies and that John and Amy will enjoy Lily growing up way too fast. We hope that Joanie and Alec will figure out how to deal with aphids in the greenhouse and that Adam and Janet will become proficient at making sour dough bread. Meanwhile we are attacking life one day at a time.
Joanie, Alec, Brigham, and JR are becoming proficient puppeteers.
Janet is creating one superior cake after another. This one was especially awesome that she made for Grant’s birthday. (And an old video of little Peter's B-Day!)

Grandma and Grandpa and Karren are practicing their snowshoeing abilities in the snow and cold at Crandell Lake. It was quite the adventure.

Just look at the snowdrifts in Waterton and the Chinook arch on the way to Waterton.
Then of course there was the skating out on the farm. For some unknown reason the ice was out of this world. It was smooth and thick and didn’t need to be shoveled. There was clear skating for a very long way along the little creek.

Then there were the celebrations. Grandma, Adam, and Grant all had birthdays. We are so glad that they all decided to come to earth. Our lives would not be nearly as wonderful without them.

So it has been an audacious beginning for what may be a terrific new year with awesome things to see and do. We eagerly are anticipating the best that life can offer and can hardly wait to see the new year unfold.
