The season of summer, delicious long days and delightful evenings and though there is a lot of work all day long there is still time for a little relaxation.

We are not the only ones who are finding things to be a bit drawn out with the sequestering and social distancing. We love this video about the “longest time.” (It is a Vancouver Choir called the Phoenix Chamber Choir :)
The whole mask thing has become an issue. As I was in Roosters yesterday we had a short line and were being very good at remaining two meters apart when a strange man ahead of us who was not someone from Magrath that we knew, turned around and declared that “only .00003% of the people who caught the virus died.” He left in a big huff and we couldn’t quite figure out what message he was really trying to convey. Everyone has their take on it all.

Working outside is a given but the yards and gardens are so lovely. It would be nice if there was more time to enjoy them. This is John and Amy’s latest produce from their little garden.

We have had some unique adventures. Grandma and Grandpa decided to go on a stay-vacation hike. We started out and got to the golf course. We pretended we were golfers and wandered around the course until we found a way through it to our land.

On the very north part of our pasture, Grandpa found this little Chipmunk just eating away. We don’t see these chipmunks here very often so it was fun to watch it fill its little cheeks with food. If you look very closely you can see it in the grass.

When we got to the farm, we found ourselves walking through grass that honestly was higher than our heads.

The hiking was little harder than we expected and we were quite surprised how worn out we both were. We need to get back in shape and go on some of those hikes that Joanie and Alec and Brigham and JR accomplish in Provo. We are excited to try out some of the new hikes. (They use an app called AllTrails. It is pretty awesome!)

And then there is always time for play. Grandpa helped Clark and Grant make these awesome costumes. They had lots of fun playing heroes and villains.

The crops at the farm and Bradshaw are looking great. The Hutterites are helping to fix up a bin so we can store whatever we might be able to harvest. We hope it is a lot because it will barely pay for the granary! :-/

Janet and Adam are still working on their basement and Adam has some wicked nights on call.
John and Amy are working and playing and hanging out together. We are still waiting with anticipation on what they do to the zucchinis.
Joanie and Alec are working long hours and are keeping busy in the yard. Brigham and JR. are doing their best to keep occupied.
Karren and Lisa are working dreadful hours and we are hoping that they will both find more time to play.

We can hardly wait to see everyone all together for a bit this year even though the border opening seems a long way away. But then, just as we have noticed a lot this year, the stormy weather sure makes beautiful sunsets and awesome clouds and seeing everyone together again after all this is over will be a spectacular and "glorious" event!

Grandpa Leishman just wanted to say that he really likes these weekly efforts and thinks they are just "Great". Thank you to Joanie to puts hours into fitting in the pictures and making it look so nice.
This is where you can put comments is you want!
