It came at last, with all the flurry and fun that one could expect during a pandemic.

Christmas Eve was rather quiet for many of us but that made it even more special when we could all connect by this magical thing called Zoom. It was rather like a miracle and a fun one at that. Grandma and Grandpa were especially delighted because we haven’t seen all of our children together for a very long time and even if it was only virtually. It was awesome.

Some of us spent part of Christmas Eve day out at the farm having hot dogs and hot chocolate with a bonfire and playing in the snow and in the new grand quonset that is big enough to play lots of games and have lots of fun in for the next Christmas eve.

Karren made some delicious cookies on Christmas Eve before our zoom family home evening.

and then most of us opened pyjamas and just lounged until bedtime, except for those who were helping Santa until all hours of the evening. Grandma and Grandpa and Karren went on a tour of the town to see the lights and did a drive by wave to the Williams family. We really liked Charlie’s decorated tractor and we were quite proud of the old minivan and how dandy he looked all lit up.

Christmas morning was a little quiet for Grandma and Grandpa but not for some of the others in the family. We did have the day start with a beautiful sunrise just before we opened presents.

Grandma Karren enjoyed the day and appreciated all of the presents and phone calls.

Janet and Adam and Clark and Grant and little Peter had a noisy busy day. The blow up gym was spectacular.

Amy and John had a wonderful Christmas with even a few presents for the new little one who is very anxious to be here for Christmas next year.

Lisa worked for most of the holiday but next year we are making sure she gets home for Christmas. We did enjoy visiting with her on zoom on Christmas Eve.

Karren has been busy working for a lot this holiday too but it was good to see her for a bit. She has been working on the “World’s hardest Puzzle” with Grandpa for the last day or so. Grandma gets a little impatient because it really is a very hard puzzle.

It is printed on both sides and the pieces are tiny and all the same. It is a challenge.

Joanie and Alec were very busy too and Brigham and JR were excited to get lots of goodies from Santa. Grandma and Grandpa really liked the cool spider that they got from Santa.

Well the festivities continue well after Christmas. The Netflix channel is doing well and everyone is anxious for the vaccines to finally arrive. Meanwhile, Grandma is already getting ready for Christmas next year when everyone can come home. That is an exciting time to look forward to and it will be a grand and wonderful event!! She can hardly wait.
