Lucky!

March is such a Lucky Month. Clark had a birthday which Grant and Peter enjoyed by helping open presents too.

Alec had a birthday and they celebrated it as a family by going to Los Vegas and riding on a train. Such an awesome adventure.
March is indeed a busy month because JR has his birthday on the 20th of March, and March is also Grandma Karren’s wedding anniversary on the 19th.
March seems like it is the beginning of spring with all the birds coming back and the weather warming up a bit and the snow melting and with daylight saving back. Canadians especially are strange at this time of year because with the little bit of warmth in air they tend to shed all of their winter clothing and gravitate to shorts and T-shirts. I think they must be trying to hurry the weather along into warmer digits. Peter especially loves being outside without his winter snowsuit.

Grandma and Grandpa and Karren were able to rake the front lawn. That was definitely a stinky project as they raked up all the remnants of the deer poop. YUK
With the warmer weather, the door is progressing out at the farm. The building will be clad in Royal Blue with grey trim. It only took Grandpa and Grandma a few days to agree on that decision!

It took just as long to finally decide on the new flooring and countertops in the kitchen. Grandma is a little nervous that it will all look wonderful in the end.

John and Amy were very lucky in that they were able to get their first Covid vaccination shot. Oh we are so hoping that this will turn the tide!

Then of course it is St. Patrick’s Day. Lisa was able to see the Green River that happens in Chicago every Saturday before St. Patrick’s. It is amazing to think that they can turn a river so green.

Most of us have a little bit of Irish in our ancestry and that has to count for having a little bit of luck coming our way. So to celebrate this part of our lives, Karren made some yummy Irish type soda bread and Grandma and Grandpa made green mashed potatoes for Sunday dinner. How much fun!
