Onward into a New Year! That means that there are many things to do and experience and to accomplish: always exciting and always an adventure.
Grandma and Grandpa spent time taking down all the decorations, outside and inside.

Everyone else was a little more organized and had all the decorations down and their houses spruced up long before January 6th which for some reason has been proclaimed the day of Epiphany. They claim, that is... the internet claims, that it is bad luck if you don’t have decorations put away by then, and if they are not down you should leave them up for the rest of the year. Grandma can’t quite buy into that and is grateful just to get it all put away sooner or later.
Grandpa was delighted with his post-Christmas, Christmas present. He has been waiting for a very long time to get the awesome TV he has wanted. Finally it came. The problem was that it was way too heavy to lift with just one person and certainly not with Grandma. So Janet and Adam graciously agreed to come and help. It finally was up and running. Meanwhile, Clark and Grant enjoyed playing with the packaging and cardboard.

Janet and her kids spent time enjoying all their presents and toys and Peter became a TV watcher for the first time. He even led the music when the songs came up on the TV.
He was quite animated after a few songs and it was interesting to see how focused he was. He is also very determined when it comes to figuring out the remotes and how to make them work.

Janet and Adam and all their kids also climbed Bears Hump on Saturday and it was very slippery but rather an adventure.

Joanie and Alec went on a nice ride to the top of West Mountain, so they could look over the valley. They were also busy trying to relax :-)

Karren and Lisa and John and Amy were all busy doing jobs and work and work and jobs. We hope to have a wonderful visit with all of them when Covid dies down and we can get back together again.
Meanwhile it still is a time of plunging into a new year and so as always it is onwards and upwards.
