Over Too Soon

August went by in a flash. Grandma and Grandpa and Janet and Clark and Grant and Peter managed miraculously to get to Utah to see the clan that was there and then Grandma and Grandpa were able to go to Chicago to spend a very few days with Lisa. It was awesome to see Joanie and Alec and Brigham and JR, and to see John and Amy and little Lily. Then it was awesome that Joanie and Alec and Brigham and JR were able to come to Canada for a very short visit.
It was so much fun to see everyone and to spend some prime time playing. Janet and Adam are having a wonderful time with their new boat and taking care of their massive garden.
Karren never did get any time off from Relief Society but we did find out that Lisa has an abundance of candy in her apartment. Grant and the rest would love to visit her for sure. Grandma Karren had her 91st birthday on August 17th, the same day as Joanie and Alec’s anniversary, so much to celebrate!
Alas, after all the playing it was time to get back to school and work and the life that keeps things sensible and pays for all the fun things we do. Clark and Grant and Brigham and JR all have school to go to and sports to play and things to do that will keep them all busy. Peter and Lily will have to still be patient.
The harvest was underway of gardens and fields and the lawns and leaves all still needed to be taken care of but the weather was unbelievable and the times ahead were exciting to look forward too.
It is just sometimes a little unfortunate that time cranks along so quickly and we can’t seem to ever have enough of it. Someday, perhaps we will be in control of that wonderful gift of time.
