GROWING STILL:
Although it may have seemed that not much out of the ordinary happened this week, there was still forward movement on many projects. The new shed is coming along nicely out at the farm, the lawns and gardens are being winterized and most of the canning is done!

You can definitely tell that autumn is in full force. The sun comes through our bedroom window in a different way and it shimmers on the wall in pretty patterns.
The animals are “winterizing” too. A group of beaver have made their home on the creek out at Bradshaw much to our chagrin. We were able to “exterminate” one of them but the others are still at large literally. They made a dam by cutting down several precious trees and making a huge swimming hole for themselves at a curve in the creek. They can be really damaging and we wish they would find a new home but they are definitely industrious little pests.

There is exciting news from Lily. She is starting to roll over and can dance in her little chair. She does like bananas and is learning to chortle with the best of them.
Amy and John thought she looked like a happy penguin but we think she is much cuter than that.

Adam and Janet are in the midst of learning how to can all their produce from the garden. It has been an adventure for them. Janet has decorated her little house for Halloween and all her boys are ready and very eager for the big event.

Lisa is still stuck in Chicago. We do hope she does something exciting for Thanksgiving at least have a candy or two :)
Karren was able to spend some time at home this weekend but it was way too short and she had to go back to Calgary early to teach a Relief Society lesson. We will just have to have a belated Canadian Thanksgiving.
Joanie and Alec and Brigham and JR were eager participants in celebrating Canadian Thanksgiving in Idaho with Jonathan, but had a smallish dinner at home as well, in the midst of bowling and getting ready for Halloween.

Grandma and Grandpa are a bit envious because for their Canadian Thanksgiving dinner they had cereal because their kitchen is still in a chaotic mess. Hopefully by American Thanksgiving, things will all be back in order. We can always hope that that bit of “growing” or progress with this will be quicker than we think.
