Records:
There are all kinds of records in this world of ours. People record births, deaths, marriages, grades, successes, and even a few failures. We all keep track in one form or another.
This week has seen a few records. We were warned that it would get cold. Well every once in a while the weather predictions are right. It was downright cold here.

In Waterton record cold temperatures for this week were recorded. It got down to -29.3 degrees!

So Dad pulled out the sourdough starter that had been in the fridge just sitting there for a record amount of time, revved it up and spent some time in a warm kitchen making some record breaking, awesome bread.

Meanwhile, outside it looked more like the North Pole except there were still leaves on the trees.

Grandma and Grandpa did go on a little hike down by the spill gates and noticed that there were record high amounts of water in the creek for this time of year and a record high amount of ice on the trail.

Little Peter came for a short visit at Grandma and Grandpa’s house while his mom went ministering to a woman in the ward whose mother died just a year ago. Peter broke a record in how fast he fell asleep in front of the fire place.

Grandma and Grandpa built a big fire in the fire place downstairs and probably watched a record amount of TV that was viewed by the two of them at the same time in two days. They watched a documentary called Social Dilemma that Adam told them about and that was truly eye opening if not a little scary about how google and facebook and twitter and all those things keep track of us. They highly recommend watching it. Check it out here.
Lisa claimed that she has known this for a very long time and is setting a record of having no one pay attention to her until recently, as to how much the world is watching us all. She is also setting a record of working for a group of men who set records daily of micromanaging the people around them. ;-) One of these days they are going to have to mellow and chill out a bit, as do almost all of us in the world. That is one nice thing about getting older. Grandma and Grandpa are in that stage of life that probably won’t last very long (*we sure hope this isn't true!). BUT they are happy because no one seems to be managing their lives for them. (*Jokes on them...those grandkids manage everyone's lives). Although, Grandma and Grandpa are both very aware that any family member has a huge impact on them and what they do (*oh...they do know about the grandkids, haha). But don’t let them fool you. They do love it.
John and Amy are setting all kinds of records. They are getting ready to move, Amy hasn’t been quite so sick and they harvested the last of their carrots.

The sweet potatoes they grew set an interesting record as a new species and one that they are wondering how they would cook up.

Joanie and Alec and Brigham and JR were busy as usual. Brigham set a record for the cutest Primary presentation and little talk, or at least the wiggliest. And JR is setting the record for being the best at falling out of his bed at night while sleeping. Although, Peter is pretty good at falling down the stairs, so that record might not last long. Brigham and JR are also both setting records for being the greatest Halloween Dinosaurs.

Karren is breaking all kinds of records like driving on snowy roads and time put in on zoom with her ward Relief Society and doing virtual firesides. She has set records with the most awesome painting in her place and figuring out how to move a washer and dryer so she could paint behind them. We are curious to know what she finally did.

That comes to Janet and Adam. We couldn’t count the amount of records they have set this week especially regarding water. They just finished fixing the leaks in their basement when all of sudden they were getting leaks from the roof all down the walls of the sunroom and in the ceiling. Needless to say it was frustrating and Janet has become a record “snow shoveller”. She shovels her driveway and sidewalk and now she shovels her roof too. Hopefully they can get someone to come and fix it fast. Clark and Grant have found awesome Halloween costumes and will be dressing up in Pirate Costumes. Little Peter’s costume is in debate but he may be a dragon.
We are all anxious to have this pandemic resolved soon and hopefully the border will open before Christmas. We are hoping that they find a vaccine in “Record Breaking Time.”
