There and back again!
Adventure and more adventures: that is what it has been like these past few weeks. Grandma and Grandpa decided that they hadn’t had much contact with everyone in the States, and so Grandma took off one Monday morning and drove to Utah to see Alec and Joanie and Brigham and JR and John and Amy and the new little Lily.
It was awesome to see everyone!
Lisa surprised us all as she showed up in Salt Lake for a few days. It was not nearly long enough but we will take all we can get.
Finally little Lily made her debut! She is a little cutie and it was fun to visit with Amy and John. They are great parents.

Everyone even pitched in and helped build a shed for them in their back yard. Lisa spent a good portion of her holiday time helping put up the shed and just hanging out. It was so good to see her if only for a day or so.

The weather was warm enough that there was plenty of running in the sprinklers, making forts in the living room, hiking in the mountains west of Utah Lake, wearing cool sun glasses and just hanging out. It was an awesome week or two with the Westwoods.

There were several hikes with Brigham and JR and a few bonfires with John and Amy. Joanie made some delicious food for a picnic outside.

Grandma was able to get her second vaccination and was fortunate enough to get through the border both ways. She had to quarantine for two weeks when she came home which wasn’t exactly what she wanted but it was well worth the effort.
A few days after she got home it started to rain and snow. So, it was another adventure with new activities. She did what she could to get the house back in order after all the renovations and as always, there is much more to do than will ever be done and aren’t we grateful for that blessing?
As a side note, we need Janet and Adam to send us some pictures of their brand new toy. We are hoping that it offers many, many hours of entertainment for their family and expect a few rides from them in the future. How fun!
