Waiting and Waiting and Waiting………….and waiting and waiting and ……….

One cannot deny that there are times in life when waiting becomes a project in itself. April certainly becomes one of those times during the year when waiting becomes an event unto itself. Waiting takes a great skill and never-ending ingenuity.

Grandma and Grandpa certainly have had some waiting to do. Grandpa cleaned out the waterfall and filled it to the brim in anticipation of visitors this summer. It was a beautiful day but promptly the following day it began to snow. Now it will take a lot more waiting until all the flowers can be set out and things will be warm enough to enjoy movies outside again.

Grandma is waiting for the kitchen to be finished and although it is progressing very slowly the wait has been rather interesting because the little kitchen down in the basement has become a fun place to gather.

Grandma has been spending some waiting time downloading old slides. She thought the ones of Grandma and Ririe and Lisa and Karren when they were babies were precious.

Grandma and Grandpa are waiting and waiting for the plants in the garage to grow and for the weather to be warm enough to plant them outside. They are also making the best of their real Easter vacation which starts on Monday and lasts one week and they won’t be able to anywhere because of Covid restrictions.

They are not the only ones waiting for spring and for Covid to be done. Janet and Adam and Clark and Grant and little Peter played outside and just couldn’t wait for warmer weather to ditch the clothes and play in the water.

Karren and Lisa are very good at waiting. They always find something worthwhile to do and are never at a loss for a list to accomplish. We are waiting to be able to meet all together again and hopefully that is soon.

Joanie and Alec are waiting to put out their plants that they are growing in their hothouse. We don’t think they are waiting for warmer weather because it seems to be in Provo already. Brigham and JR don’t wait for anything because they are always having fun.

And then there are Amy and John. We think that waiting for them has not been very fun. They have taken to lots of walks around the neighborhood and lots of checks at the hospital and lots of long, long miserable nights. We hope that the waiting for them ends soon. Perhaps next week it will be a different story.

In the middle of it all, John had his birthday! His birthdays never seem to be that exciting, whether they are in the middle of a family vacation or a new baby being born. Hopefully, he knows that we love him none the less. We all know that he will be a wonderful Dada.

Meanwhile we will all keep waiting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
